Structural Integration Massage
This modality reforms the constricted fascia, removing the excess friction (wear and tear) as well as aberrant pressure points within the joints reducing and very likely eliminating pain, stiffness and fatigue, improving stamina, performance and powerfully increasing one's sense of well being.
Dr. Ida Rolfe developed structural integration massage as an alternative medicinal approach to surgery for the correction of soft tissue disorders such as, but not limited to:
- Pinched Nerve Syndrome (Nueropathy)
- Trigger points (MPDS-Myofascial Pain Dysfunction Syndrome)
- Chronic pain with no apparent pathology (Ideopathy)
Structural Integration Massage Sessions and Trauma / Medical Massage Therapy Sessions (where pathology or trauma are present) available
helps reduce stress and anxiety, relaxes muscles, rehabilitates injuries, reduces pain, and promotes overall health and wellness. Massage therapy has also proven beneficial for many chronic conditions, including low back pain, arthritis, bursitis, fatigue, high blood pressure, diabetes, immunity suppression, infertility, smoking cessation, depression, and more. And, as many millions will attest, massage also helps relieve the stress and tension of everyday living that can lead to disease and illness.
Reflexology is a complementary therapy based on the principles that there are reflexes in the hands and feet that correspond to every organ in the body. It is intended for use alongside conventional medical care and not as a replacement of it. A Reflexologist uses hands to apply gentle pressure to the feet, hands or face. For each person the application and the effect of the therapy are unique. Benefits of a Reflexology session stimulates more than 7000 nerves encouraging the opening and cleansing of neural pathway and many health conditions can benefit from it including: Poor circulation, Arthritis, Nerve function, back problems, digestive disorders, plantar fasciitis, stress disorders, hormonal problems and thyroid imbalance.
